This update introduces important changes to the data elements available in Tier 1 (100 indicators), Tier 2 (250 indicators), and Tier 3 (500 indicators). We’ve enhanced your demographics package by removing outdated data and introducing new, more relevant categories designed to deliver deeper insights and greater value for you and your site visitors. Below is a summary of the key additions included in this update.
New data now available for Tier 1:
- Population by sex (male and female) for all race categories
- Median Household Income for all race and ethnic groups
New data now available for Tier 2:
- Population by race alone or in combination for all race categories.
- Population by single race categories remains available for Tiers 1, 2, and 3. The alone or in combination approach combines all individuals who report being in a race category, including those who report being in another race category.
New data now available for Tier 3:
- Hispanic/Latino population by age groups
- Asian population by specific origin including Asian Indian, Cambodian, Chinese (Not Taiwan), Filipino, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Other or 2+ Asian categories
- Group quarters population
- Median household income by age groups
- Population age 16+ by employment status
The following indicators have been replaced by those listed above and are no longer available, in alignment with our updated focus for this dataset:
- Tier 1 no longer includes data on marital status such as never married or divorced, average household income by race, and length of residence.
- Tier 2 no longer includes indicators for occupied housing units by number of vehicles.
- Tier 3 no longer includes ancestry-related indicators such as Czech, German, Irish, Swedish, United States or American, and Others.
