This dataset includes 16 hospital admission and emergency room visit indicators focused on mental health, intentional self-harm, alcohol use, and substance abuse using Clinical Classification Software definitions and other clinically-verified sources. Conduent HCI analysis produces values at the county and zip code levels, as available, depending on population density.
The calculation of these indicators also employs Claritas population estimates and is based on the residence of the patient, rather than the hospital's location. Options for these indicators vary by state according to data availability; please check with your account manager to learn more.
