The specific indicator values for the Food Insecurity Index are available to our clients with Claritas Pop-Facts®, Claritas Consumer Profiles®, and Claritas Consumer Buying Power datasets. In order to see all the underlying variables, it is necessary to purchase Tier 2 Pop-Facts and the additional supplemental datasets. The index is calculated from the following topics: Medicaid insurance enrollment, perceived health status, household expenditures, household income, and single-parent headed households. The indicators are weighted to maximize the correlation of the index with social and economic hardship and eligible persons for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps.
Please contact your account manager if you are interested in adding these demographic variables to your Conduent HCI Platform.
